Payments & Deposits

Some restaurants require a deposit or fee when you book.


Types of Payments

Deposits

A prepayment to secure your table. May be deducted from your bill, refunded after your visit, or forfeited for no-shows.

Service Fees

A small platform fee charged by Orion's Plan.

Payment Links

Restaurants may send payment links for deposits, additional charges, or outstanding fees.


Making a Payment

During Booking

Enter card details in the secure Stripe form and click "Pay & Confirm".

Via Payment Link

Find the link in My Bookings, click it, and complete payment on the Stripe page.


Payment Statuses

  • Pending -- not yet paid
  • Paid -- received
  • Paid In-House -- settled at restaurant
  • Deducted from Bill -- applied to final bill
  • Refunded -- returned to you

Refunds

Refunds may be issued for cancellations with refundable deposits, restaurant cancellations, or billing errors. Processed back to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.


Payment Security

  • Processed by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 compliant)
  • Card details never stored on Orion's Plan
  • All transactions use SSL encryption

Tips

  • Check deposit policy before booking.
  • Pay promptly when you receive a payment link.
  • Keep your confirmation email for receipts.
  • Contact the restaurant for questions about charges.
