How to Create a New Booking

Prerequisites

  • You must be logged in to your restaurant account
  • Your restaurant profile must be set up
  • Opening hours should be configured

Method 1: Create from Bookings Page

  1. Navigate to the Bookings section from the main menu
  2. Click the "New Booking" button
  3. Select the date for the booking
  4. Choose the party size
  5. Select the dining area
  6. Pick an available time slot
  7. Enter guest details (name, email, phone)
  8. Add any special requests or notes
  9. Optionally assign a menu for pre-orders
  10. Click "Create Booking" to confirm

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I print a pre-order in Orion's Plan?

Navigate to the booking with a pre-order, click the Print button, choose FOH (front of house guest list), BOH (back of house kitchen prep), or Name Cards, then print.

How do I create a new booking?

There are three methods: from the Bookings page, from the Floor Plan view, or as a Walk-In from the floor plan sidebar.

Can guests cancel their own bookings?

Yes, guests can cancel via the link in their confirmation email or from their dashboard.

How do menu pre-orders work?

When a menu is assigned to a booking, guests receive a link to choose their dishes. Staff can also edit or override selections.

What are deposits?

Deposits are pre-payments collected via Stripe when a booking is created. They can be refundable or non-refundable based on restaurant policy.
